Hello everybody! Today I am going to show you what EDMODO is. It is an educational platform that allows you to create a virtual space for communication with your students and other teachers. Trough it you can share messages, files, links, a work calendar, as well as propose tasks and activities and manage them. Here is the link to  EDMODO.   There you can see the class "The best" made of three different groups (G1, G2 and G3). I have created different activities and assignments introducing images, pdf, a Power Point, videos etc. It is a very useful tool because students can be  notified of the date they have to do the assignment for and you can select when you want the assignment be published. I leave here de code to access to my class and the instructions you have to follow. I hope you like the activities!

Welcome one day more to my Blog! Today I am going to show you a very useful tool for evaluating students. It is called Excel and consists on spreadsheets that you can use to perform different accounting tasks. I have created an example of rubric I will follow as a teacher based on the following criteria: 1. Continuous Assessment (60% of the final mark)      - Reading (15% of the final mark)           -Reading 1 (/10) ==> weight: 20% of the Reading Mark           -Reading 2 (/15) ==> weight: 20% of the Reading Mark           -Reading 3 (/20) ==> weight: 25% of the Reading Mark           -Reading 4 (/20) ==> weight: 35% of the Reading Mark      - Writing (15% of the final mark)           -Writing 1 (/10) ==> weight: 30% of the Writing Mark           -Writing 2 (/10) ==> weight: 30% of the Writing Mark           -Writing 3 (/10) ==> weight: 40% of the Writing Mark      - Speaking (15% of the final mark)           -Speaking 1 (/10

PODCAST

Good morning everybody! Today I am going to show you a tool called Podomatic. It is a free application to create online podcasts, you just have to register and start creating and managing your own podcasts. As teachers we can use this tool to create activities related to the listening. I have created a podcast recording my voice and I have put some exercises to do to my students as you will see in the link. To acces it you can click on the word "Podcast" which is below. Then go to the second podcast (the one who has the image), click on “download the episode” and save it in your computer to listen to it when you want. Podcast . Another way that you have is clicking on the button which is to the left of the heart icon to download it. I hope you like it! And of course, try to do the activities I have planned. You will enjoy them!

FINAL PLE

Hello everybody! In this entry I am going to show you the modifications I have done in my Symbaloo since the first entry. I attach two images, one of the first Symbaloo and another with the final one to see better the differences I am going to talk about. First of all, you can see that I have modified the wallpaper because the blue one didn’t transmit me anything so I chose this one with water, clouds and a sunset that makes me feel relaxed. Besides, I have made some changes on the tiles. I have modified the organization of the green ones and add and delete others. I have add Wallapop to the social networks because nowadays I use it a lot and I think that it is a very useful app to exchange or sell things that you don’t use or buy others. On the emails corner I have added the Upnas email because I will have to stay in touch with my TFGs and internships’ tutors. On the other hand, you can see that I have added a new place for clothes shops that I usually visit.

REFLECTION OF THE FIRST PART

Hello everybody! In this entry I am going to show you the reflection I have done from the first part of the subject. First, I am going to start telling you the previous knowledge I had before beginning the subject. Then I am going to share what I have learnt from this part of the subject and finally, I am going to reflect and give my opinion about it. I like computers and knowing about the new things that are on the internet because I think that as teachers, we have to update and adapt to all the changes.  I didn’t know what Symbaloo, Hot Potatoes, Quizlet, Digital Story etc. were.  The technological knowledge I had was the next tools; Gmail, Drive, Skype and Mi Aulario (a Virtual Learning Platform). I tought that I knew enough technological tools until I started this subject and saw that there are many applications that we can use as teachers and that are very useful. DIGITAL STORY

Hi everybody! Today I am going to show you a very creative tool called StoryJumper that allows you to create or read stories. In this application I have created a story related to the CLIL unit (water use) I have mentioned in other entries.  It is a very useful tool where you can add images, sounds and text to customize your story and make it personal.  I attach my story called "What can we do to save water?"
